Cusco & Puno - 7 days tour
The activities in Cusco start with a City Tour, visiting the Cathedral, Koricancha and 4 archaeological sites around the imperial city.
The second day we will visit the Sacred Valley, with magnificent landscapes and archeological sites such as Pisac and Ollantaytambo.
The third day the magical journey to Machu Picchu by train.
The fourth day at leisure in Cusco ... to relax and do activities in the city.
Then we head to Puno in a spectacular Bus ride.
Once in Puno, visit the amazing islands of Uros and Taquile.

Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive to Cusco – City Tour in the Afternoon

Reception at the Velasco Astete Airport in Cusco, and transfer to hotel where they are waiting with an aromatic coca tea to help you avoid altitude sickness.
Once in the hotel, take the rest of the morning free.
Between 1:45 and 2:00 pm beginning on guided city tour, which will have the opportunity to visit 6 places, the first "Qoricancha (near Golden), now the Convent of Santo Domingo, a place that houses Inside one of the most important religious centers of the Inca period. Then the Cathedral, a religious site which has paintings of the Cusco School being in number about 300, among other expressions of art.
Then head to the outskirts of the city to visit 4 major places that have remained intact over the years and have been used by the Incas for different activities; Sacsayhuaman (head of the puma) majestic place, with stonework impressive, being heavier than 120 tons, carried by Inka workers from remote sites, where they performed the famous Inti Raymi or Festival of the Sun, Qenqo (maze), and finally Pucapucara Tambomachay, a place devoted to the worship of water

Day 2 : Sacred Valley of the Inkas Tour

Breakfast at the hotel.
Between 8:45 and 9:00 am. we will pick you up from your hotel to begin our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Visiting, first of all, the colorful Indian market in Pisac and then continue our journey to the Pisac Archaeological Site.
Then continue to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, Inca city that had a religious, political and agricultural.
Finally, we return to Cusco via Chinchero, a town dedicated to the cultivation of potatoes and enjoy a wonderful view of the Cordillera de los Andes.
End of tour
Return to the City of Cusco.

Day 3 : Train to Machu Picchu Town

Breakfast at the hotel, then pick up to go to the train station Poroy or Ollantaytambo to board the train heading to Machu Picchu Town (Ex Aguas Calientes).
At your arrival our staff will be waiting to transfer to your hotel.
Free day to explore the area on your own.

Day 4 : Machupicchu Tour

Early breakfast. Then meet with your guide and have to walk to the bus station to board, they will take you to the top of the mountain on a journey that will last about 25 minutes.
Then take the guided tour of the historic sanctuary where you will visit the most important Inca places :

- Temple dedicated to the Sun
- Intihuatana (Sun Clock)
- Quarries
- Main Temple
- Sacred Rock
- Temple dedicated to the Condor
- Agricultural Sector
- Urban Sector


Once the tour finishes , you will have time for lunch (not Included) and explore the area on your own.
In the afternoon return train to Cusco.
Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 5 : Transfer to Bus Station – Trip to Puno

In the morning we pick you up from hotel at 6.30 am. Transfer to the bus station for the trip to Puno.
Finally visit Andahuaylillas, considered the Sistine Chapel of America (because of the quality of works of art found inside) Andahuaylillas Church, located in the town of the same name, located about 40 km (25 miles) east of the City of Cusco at an altitude of 3100 mts. (10,170 feet).
The next stop is the archaeological site of Raqchi.
This archaeological complex is located in the district of San Pedro of Cacha Canchis province and department of Cusco to 3460 meters above sea level on the slopes of the volcano Quimsachata.
Archaeologists have divided it into 5 main areas: Temple of Viracocha, Plazas, Colcas, Sector E Mesapata and also an artificial water reservoir in front of the temple and a wall surrounding the complex.
After this visit, we will stop for lunch in Sicuani area
Then continue the journey and stop at La Raya to do a photo shoot.

Arrival in Puno.
Reception at the bus station and transfer to Hotel.

Day 6 : Tour Uros & Taquile Islands

Breakfast, early morning, embark on an unforgettable motorboat excursion on Lake Titicaca to visit the floating islands of Uros, ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe.
These natives have built their own islands by periodically adding new layers of reeds, also use this material for building houses and boats.
We continue sailing to Taquile Island, inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed from generation to generation an efficient and original social system and a superb technique of tissue (Taquile Textiles)
Upon our arrival we have lunch (included).
Then we will walk through the various hills and archaeological sites.

Return to Puno at approximately 5pm.
Transfer to Hotel.
Overnight Puno.
